James “Wade” Williams of Petersburg passed away April 6, 2025, in Howell, TN on his farm surrounded by his loving family. Wade was a member of the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was an avid farmer and enjoyed horses, cattle and being outdoors. After a lifelong career in dairy production, Wade transited to hauling cattle out west. Wade was a former board member of the Lincoln County Board of Public Utilities, served many terms on the Lincoln County Livestock Association board, Lincoln County Horseman’s Association, served the Howell Community as a volunteer firefighter and volunteered to serve as an auctioneer for numerous charitable events.

Wade was born on October 7, 1958, in Johnson City, TN to the late Robert Williams Sr. and Mabel Williams Ivey. His family moved to the Howell area and began a family dairy farm operation. Wade was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Pap” Williams, Sr.

Survivors include his faithful and loving wife of 45 years, Sharon Broyles Williams; son, Jeremy Williams; daughter, Dr. Erin (Rob) Marks; mother, Mabel Williams Ivey; grandchildren, Bennett Williams, Ansley Marks, Garrett Marks, Stella Kate Marks, Haddie Claire Marks, and Atlas Wade Davidson; brother, Rob (Debbie) Williams Jr.; sister, Lu (Steve) Moorehead; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 9th at 11 AM at the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with the funeral immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Fabulous Fifties Foundation (P.O. Box 934, Fayetteville, TN 37334), Lincoln County Livestock Association Scholarship Fund (2 Teal Hollow Road, Kelso, TN 37348), or to the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church Youth Fund (1015 Lewisburg Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334).
