James W. “Jimmy” Culbert, age 82, passed away peacefully on January 2nd, 2025. Born on June 21st, 1942, he was the son of the late Carmen and Evergreen Culbert. He was preceded in death by his brothers Royce, Leland, Coleman, and Neal Culbert, and his sisters Romona Cook, Ann Johnson, and Mary Ellen England. Jimmy leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Rebecca Culbert, and his sons Scott (Alicia) and Wesley Culbert. He is also survived by his cherished grandson, Caleb Culbert, who brought him much joy. Jimmy was known and loved by his family, friends, and the community for his kind heart, warm spirit, and unwavering compassion. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the many nurses and caregivers who provided excellent care for Jimmy during his final days. A visitation will be held at Adams Brown Funeral Home on Monday, January 6th, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Jimmy will be laid to rest at Marshall Memorial Gardens in Albertville, Alabama. Jimmy’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
