James Verlon Chandler, 85, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at The Meadows. He was born September 9, 1937 to the late Bill Chandler and the late Mauviline Shotts Chandler. He was a member of Fulton Church of Christ. He worked at F.L. Crane and Sons as a Foreman for 47 years of service. He worked for Davis Ford for several years as well. He was a family man and an outdoorsman who loved to go hunting and fishing with his grandsons. James enjoyed watching old time western movies.
Services will be 3:00 pm on Sunday August 6, 2023, with Mark McDonald officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 Sunday all at Senter Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Itawamba Memorial Gardens. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Chandler; son, Jim (Emily) Chandler; daughter, Lori Gallaher of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren: Abbey (Mark) McDonald, Alex Gallaher, Nathan Chandler, Sara Chandler; great-grandchildren: Aden James, Adeline Presley, Olive McDonald; sister, Louise Wilson.
