James Thomas Brown Jr, age 77 of Decherd, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Spencer, North Carolina on August 11, 1943 to the late James Thomas and Mary Ellen (Poff) Brown Sr. Before his retirement, James had been employed as a steel worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Stacy Marie Clark, and Dianna Lynn Elliott. James is survived by his loving son, James T. Brown III of Knoxville; sisters, Lillie Ann (Mickey) Simmons of Tullahoma, Geneva Donaldson of Winchester, Brenda Joyce Brown of Winchester, and Mary Ann Brown of Winchester; brothers, Roy Brown of Decherd, and Carl Brown of Decherd; and six grandchildren.
