Mr. James Taylor (Jim) Milstead age 80 of McMinnville, TN, died Friday, December 10, 2021, at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital. He was born June 14, 1941, in Viola, TN, was a life-long nurseryman and the owner operator of Ideal Nursery & Orchard Company, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and last attended Charles Creek The Baptist Church. Mr. Milstead was preceded in death by his parents Alvin Garrett and Ruth Olivia Taylor Milstead, wife Dana Underwood Milstead, sister Joice Milstead Mayes, brother Glenn Ray (Pete) Milstead, and brother-in-law W. H. Mason.
Survivors include daughter Sonya Milstead Morton, son and daughter-in-law James Eric and Jacqui Milstead, grandchildren Arianna Camille Becerra, Jessica Anne Milstead Trotter and husband Chris, and Emily Olivia Milstead, sister Elaine Milstead Mason, brother-in-law Howard Mayes, and former sister-in-law Dianne Milstead.
Graveside service and interment will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 13, 2021, at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Nick Pelham will officiate. The Milstead Family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and again Monday from 12:00 P.M. Noon until 1:30 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
