Funeral service for James “Steve” Stevens, 91, will be Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Forman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Stevens died on Monday, August 18, 2014 at his residence. He was born January 4, 1923, in Morgan County to James B. Stevens, Sr. and Ervie Ann Puckett. He was a Baptist in faith and attended the CC Camp. Mr. Stevens was a former employee of Wolverine Tube working in the production of copper and aluminum for 35 years.
