Dorothy Alice Brown, age 90, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, August 18, 2014. Her family will receive friends Wednesday, 1-2:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Greg McNatt and Donald Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Barton and was preceded in death by her parents, George Nesbitt and Ossie Dubois Nesbitt, her husband, Joseph Lemuel Brown and son, Johnny Brown.
She is survived by her sons; Jack Brown, Jimmy Brown, Steve Brown, Tim Brown and Joey Brown, all of Tuscumbia; daughters, Jo Alice Irons, Betty Tank, both of Tuscumbia and Linda Wilkinson of Russellville; sisters, Helen Darby and Patricia Cope, sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are Vance Irons, Todd Brown, Kevin Landers, Michael Shaw, Jimmy Riggs and Matthew Smith.
