James Russell Ray, 46, of Birmingham passed away on September 8, 2014. He was a member of Vestavia Church of Christ.
He is survived by his parents, James Robert Ray and Joan D. Ray; his sister, Jennifer D. Hedges; brother, Bob Ray; nieces, Julie Burleson, Jenna Hedges and Aubrey Ray; nephew, Ethan Ray; and great-niece Riley Burleson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 12, 2014, at noon at Jefferson Memorial Trussville with David Banning and Gary Patton officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
