James Robert “Jimmy” Coleman, 56, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Greenwood, MS to Clifton and Willie Mae Higginbothan Coleman. He was a factory worker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Belmont, MS.
Services will be Sunday, December 19, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Barry Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens, Dennis, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years – Betty Coleman; one son – James Coleman; five brothers – Frank Coleman, Ricky Coleman, Roy Coleman, Wayne Coleman and Jerry Coleman and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Boyce Coleman.
Pallbearers will be Cliff Coleman, Lee Woodard, Alex Reese, Dean Woodard, Wesley Reese and John Coleman. Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Harrell and Bo Coleman.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 18, 5-8 p.m. and Sunday, December 19, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
