James Randolph “Randy” Strickland, age 81 of Arley, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at his residence.
He was born June 29, 1942 in Arley, Alabama to Earnest Eugene Strickland and Juda Catherine Wilson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church NO. 2 in Arley where the memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with brother Mike Tidwell officiating.
James is survived by his son, Scott (Hope) Strickland of Decatur; brother, Russell (Lavette) Strickland of Athens; granddaughter, Lydia Strickland; and great granddaughter, Alina Mayfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Juda Strickland; sister, Louise Ward, Miriam Strickland, Faye Hamilton; brothers, Eugene, Don, Paul, Sammy, Almus “Tap”, and Alvis “Bit” Strickland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Strickland’s honor to the Bethel Baptist Church NO. 2 or The Old Bethel Cemetery fund.
