James Phillip Ware, age 86 of Cordova, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at his residence.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Dovertown Community Cemetery. Rob Gurganus will officiate.
Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his Father-Wayne Ware; Mother-Rachel Gurganus Ware; Daughter-Phyllis Ann Cordell.
He is survived by his Wife-Ruby Nell Ware; Son-Jacky Ware (Lisa); Son-in-law-Barry Cordell; Grandchildren-Jerica Ware, Jaron Ware (Amber), Jace Cordell (Megan), Justin Ware (Annie), and Jed Cordell (Chrissy). Great Grandchildren-Parker Ware, Mason Ware, Walker Ware, Ellie Ware, Ori Cordell, Asa Cordell, Riven Cordell, Riggs Cordell, and Baby Royce Cordell arriving in September 2026.
Pallbearers will be Jaron Ware, Justin Ware, Jace Cordell, Jed Cordell, Joe Willis, Neil Hyche, Tim Hyche, Gary Hosmer, and David Ratliff.
