James O’neal Buchanan, age 88 of Boaz passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 at his home.
His funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Myrtle Tree Cemetery. Bro. Thomas Dismuke and Bro. Jeff Lybrand will officiate his service. Pallbearers will be Scott Lang, Jamie Lang, Jeremy Lang, Blake Ard, Hunter Buchanan and Ryan Buchanan. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.
He is survived by his daughter; Deborah White, sons; Joey (Angie) Buchanan, and Jerry (Angie) Buchanan, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister; Mona Gable.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Willodean Buchanan, son; Richard Buchanan, grandson; Chad Buchanan, parents; Joseph and Dorothy Buchanan and a host of brothers and sisters.
