James Lynn Craven James Lynn Craven passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 19th, from 1:00 PM until 3:30 PM at The American Legion Post 155, 1780 Beck Road, Eastaboga, AL 36260.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Chris) Cheatwood; grandchildren, Joshua (April) Lambert, Logan (Maddie) Lee, Gracie Cobb, Cruize Cheatwood and Kit Cheatwood; great grandchildren, Willow Lambert and Elijah Hannan; siblings, Melissa Wilson, Sherry Headford, Michelle Murphy, Tina Craven, Jason Henry, and Dean Craven; and many nieces and nephews.
James was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He proudly served his country in The American National Guards. He was a talented man of many things. He was a carpenter and could make beautiful furniture and crafts. He was quite the artist. He enjoyed painting and drawing. He played several musical instruments. James loved riding his motorcycle, especially with family and friends. He was The President of Asphalt Warrior RC. He loved playing darts and was in a dart league. He loved working/rebuilding antique cars. His greatest love was his family.
But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
James was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Craven. Mother, Ida Lee Henry. Father, James Thomas Craven. Brother, Joseph Anthony Craven.
