James Leroy “Bubbie” Elkins, age 50, of Phil Campbell, passed away suddenly at his residence, on Monday, January 21, 2019.
The visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 with the funeral following at 11:00 a.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel. Speaking at the service will be Thomas Baker and Ed Jordan. Burial will be at Spruce Pine Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dempsey & Norma Elkins; a father figure, John Rea; and like a brother, Shane Rea.
He is survived by his children, William James Elkins and Emily Grace Michelle Elkins; his close as family friends, Robbie Rea (wife, Lisa), Keith Rea (wife, Norma), Walter Rea, Dixie Meashell Delarosa (husband, Juan), Melissa Marrgum; best friends, Thomas Baker and Randy & Karen Cooper. He is survived also by his sisters, Brenda Mather and Regina Shoe.
