James Larry Durham, age 70 of Estill Springs, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at his residence. He was born on November 2, 1955, in Tullahoma to the late James William and Mary Louise (Neal) Durham. James was an avid farmer, who enjoyed raising caves, and horseback riding. In his spare time, you could find him fishing by the lake, watching westerns, or spending quality time with his family. James will be remembered by his family for his quick whit humor, storytelling and his love for others. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his brothers, Wilson Ray Durham and Kenneth Ray Durham; sister, Sadie Durham; girlfriend, Sherry Clark; stepchildren, Regina Clark and Tracy Clark; and step-grandson, Cody Clark. James is survived by his daughter, Heather Baker; grandchildren, Lacoda Smith, Gage Smith, Elijiah Smith; step-grandchildren, Sharon Curtis, Aaron Curtis, Jonie Delgado, and Richard Martin; siblings, Opal Schmidt, Deborah Kay Durham, Charles Thomas Durham, Michael Dewayne Durham; and many step-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
