James Hugo Eddy, 92 of the Morgan City area, died Wednesday October 11, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Eddy was born April 24, 1925 in Morgan County to Huey Eddy and Virde Culbreath Eddy. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked for Redstone Arsenal in maintenance until his retirement. He and the former Doris Sue McCormick were married for 35 years. He enjoyed coon hunting and was an avid Alabama Football Fan.
He is survived by his wife Doris Eddy; his sons and daughters-in-law: Tim Medley, Russel Medley and Diana and Mark Medley; his daughters: Robin Benson, Pamela Jennings and Angela Pope; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son: Gary Eddy; his parents: Huey and Virde Eddy and his sisters: Pauline Couch, Ruby Brawley and Emma Tyler.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 14, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City with Brother: Ken Tyler, officiating. Burial will be in Rescue Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Russel Medley, Tim Medley, Mark Medley, Marcus Medley, Nicholas Barnes and Joshua Jennings.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Friday October 13, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City.
