James Eugene Ford, 73 of Dora, passed away March 15, 2026.
He was the retired owner of Emerald Mirror & Glass. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Dora. He was Coach of Team Alabama, which won the 13-14 year old Little League World Series.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Verda Ford; sister, Peggy Crocker, and brothers, Johnny and Billy Ford.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Sherri Ford; children, Crystal Mahaffey (Justin), Jonathan Ford (Tara), Alex Denny-Reed (Hobart), Austin Denny (Brooke) and Peyton Ford (Travis); grandchildren, Alaina, Aleigha, Ella, Tucker, Barrett, Ezra, Amelia and Leilani; sister, Gloria Gilbert (Steve); brother, Ralph Ford (Cheryl); several nieces, nephews. other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday March 19, 26 at 1:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Dora. Pastor John Foles will officiate. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Visitation is from 11:30 am until service time at the church.
