James Elbert “Buddy” Luna, age 59, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, an equipment operator for Doss Brothers, Inc., a lifetime member of the NRA, and of the Christian Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Elbert and Sally Lorene Mitchell Luna; one sister, Thelma Burnett; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Byrd.
He is survived by two sons, Ben Luna (Sarah) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Matthew Luna (Shelby) of Leighton, AL; lifetime companion, Mona Steele of Lawrenceburg, TN; three brothers, Tony Luna of Loretto, TN, Nathan Luna of Spring Hill, TN and Randy Luna of Lawrenceburg, TN; three sisters, Ann Byrd of Gandy Community, Linda Delle of Nashville, TN and Mary Richardson of Leoma, TN; three step-children, Erin Griggs of Franklin, TN, Ashley Daniel of Lawrenceburg, TN and Adam Steele of Summertown, TN; 7 step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Neal Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2019, with Ben Luna officiating. Family suggests memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
