Obituary of James Edward Webster James Edward Webster, 76, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Plantation Manor in McCalla, AL.

The family will welcome friends at the McDade Church in Carbon Hill, Monday, April. 21, 2025, from 2 until 3 p.m. Service will follow at 3 p.m. at the McDade Church with burial at McDade Cemetery. Officiated by Dale Gamble.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ed Webster and Ruby Faye Kirkpatrick; siblings, Brenda Webster Sims and Thomas “Tommy” Boyd Webster.

He is survived by his children, Jaime Webster Toner (Nate) and Jennifer Erin Webster; grandchildren, Hayden Cater (Will) Clemons, Cade Cater (Cheslyn), Kynze Taylor (Gavin) and Preslee Turner; sister, Debbie Webster Smelley ; great grandchildren, Magnolia Taylor, Cohen Cater, and Lottie Clemons; and a host of other family and friends. Special family members, Kevin “Kojack” Hayes, Ronny Davis, Timothy “Cornbread” Wilkerson. Special thanks to Erica Miller for the love and care towards our daddy.

He graduated from Carbon Hill High School in 1967, was drafted to the U.S. Army in 1968 – 1970. He got a job at Alabama Power Company as an electrician and married Rebecca Jane Barker in 1973. Together they had two daughters. They later divorced. He was a huge Alabama football fan, hunter and fisherman.
