James Earl Kelley, 77, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 16, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will be Thursday, August 17, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Larry Burbank officiating. Burial will follow at Rhodesville Cemetery.
Earl was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County and a member of Valley View House of Prayer. He was a truck driver for over thirty years. He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Kelley; mother, Vernette Kelley; brothers, Ronnie, Donnie, and Randy Kelley; and sister, Neat Cromwell.
Earl is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Linda Kelley; children, Tracy White (Bobby), Sue Hale (Keith), and Dewayne May; brothers, R.D. Kelley (Alice), Lonnie Kelley (Pug), and Ricky Kelley: sisters, Mae Kelly (Gary), and Jonell Sharp (Berlon); grandchildren, Jessie White (Brandy), Bradley May, Nikki Hale, and Jase Hale; great-grandchildren, Tierra Thornton, Cierra Thornton, Wheeler White, Carly White; and special niece, Aislyn Hines.
Pallbearers are Jessie White, Bradley May, Wayne Dean, Josh Kelley, Bradley Kelley, and Larry Clemons.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses at Helen Keller Hospital.
