Funeral services for Mr. James E. Mitchell, age 77, will be held on Monday January 27, 2025 at 2 PM in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home with Tim Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Trenton, TN with Military Honors. Visitation with the family will begin at 11 AM until service time at 2 PM on Monday January 27, 2025 in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home.
Mr. Mitchell passed away on Thursday January 23, 2025 at the Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital.
Mr. Mitchell a Vietman Army Veteran was disabled while serving with Co D 5th BN 7th Cav 1st Cav Div. Mr. Mitchell was a member of Union Methodist Church in Trenton, TN.
Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by; his wife Aline (Wagner) Mitchell ; and his parents Wallace and Myrtle Sowell.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by; a daughter Sandra Hill; a son Jimmy Mitchell; a sister Doris Kighten all to Trenton, TN; seven grandchildren Sydney McCoy, Mitch Hill, Jessie Mitchell, Jackie Weston Partin, Kaitlin Cristofori, Stephen Tatum, and Nick Tatum; six great grandchildren; and a niece.
