James Dwight Morgan, 80, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 12-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Dr. Chris Aday and Bro. Tyler Pendley will be officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Leighton.

Dwight was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, father-in-law, and a great friend to many. He was a member of Nitrate City Baptist Church and served as a deacon for over forty years, a member of the Masonic Lodge #43 in Leighton, AL. Dwight was a member of Quad City Bikes and Trikes of North Alabama, former of GWRRA, having visited all 48 states in the continental U.S. and six provinces of Canada. He retired from Reynolds Metals after 37 years. He also served in the Army National Guard for six years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Morgan and Mattie Wallace; grandparents, Floyd and Mattie Lovelady.

He was survived by his wife of 55 years, Rebecca Morgan; sons, Scott Morgan (Shelly) and Jason Morgan (Uma); grandchildren, Hannah LeFan (Tyler) and Tyler Morgan; sisters, Carolyn Hale and Patsy Johnson (Steve); brothers, William “Red” Roberts and Revel “Buddy” Wallace (Lilly).

Pallbearers will be nephews, Ken Aday, Kelly Aday, Ryan Aday, Justin Aday, Noah Aday, and Gage Aday.

In lieu of flowers, please give to St Jude or to your favorite charity.
