James Douglas “Doug” McClure, 60, of Huntsville, AL passed away, Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Lauderdale Co. He was a graduate of Coffee High School and received his B.S. degree from David Lipscomb University and was a former member of Sherrod Ave. Church of Christ. He loved fishing and spending time with his dogs.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 11 – 1:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. with Kenny Barfield officiating in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Survivors include his Parents, James and Mary McClure; sons, Brian and Michael McClure; Aunt and Uncle, Wilma and H.L. Stutts; and several grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Frank Poling, Greg Shima, David Stutts, Danny Gautney, Lloyd Newton and Doug Murphy, Jr.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Beverly for her special care.
