Funeral service for James Darwin Weems, age 49, of Eva, AL, will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Dye officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Shelton funeral home. Interment will be in Bethel United Church Cemetery.
Mr. Weems, who died Sunday, April 24 , 2016, at UAB Hospital, was born September 1, 1966, in Illinois, to Billy Weems and Shirley Weems Harwell. He is preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife Miranda Morris Weems, of Eva, son James K. Weems, daughter Kaylie D. Weems, and grandson Gunner Weems all of Eva, AL.
Mr. Weems was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and spent 10 years working in civil Service, he was a loving husband, father, son and grandfather.
Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
