David Leon Alexander, age 94, of Nauvoo, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at VA Hospital in Birmingham.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Edgil Grove Baptist Church, with burial at Bennett Cemetery. David Miller and Hancel Cox will officiate.
Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his Wife-Christeen Tubbs; 7 Brothers; 2 Sisters; Son-in-law-Gary Crider; Daughter-Glenda Jane Alexander; Father-John Alexander; Mother-Bertha Rice Alexander.
He is survived by his Daughters-Lona Duncan (Leonard), Brenda Crider, Wanda Gail Reeves (Dale), Sandra Diane Ryan (Patrick), Shelia Eaton (Donald) and Kathy Jo Ferrell (Artie); Brother-Herbert Alexander; 11 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jon Ferrell, Casey Ryan, Shane Reeves, Seth Reeves, Roger Chin, Mike Bailey and Terry Alexander.
