James “Barney” Vernon Floyd ,89, of Boaz, AL passed from this life on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. Funeral services will be at 1PM Friday, November 23,2018 at Albertville Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Forrest Home Cemetery in Boaz, AL. Keith Williams will officiate. Pallbearers will be friends and family. The family will visit with friends Friday, November 23 ,2018 from 11 AM-1 PM prior to the service at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel. Preceded in death by his wife, Verna Mae Floyd, parents, mother, Garnie Copeland Floyd, father, Howard T Floyd, sister, Willey Floyd, brothers, William Conrad Floyd, Felton Floyd, Howard Newman Floyd. He is survived by his daughter, Deloris (Gary) Burnett of Arab, son, Chris (Teresa) Tarvin of Boaz, brother, Leon Floyd of Boaz, grandchildren, Angie (Jason) Murphree of Arab, Scott Burnett of Birmingham, Christina (Dakota) Phillips of Boaz, Brianna Tarvin of Boaz, and 4 great-grand children.
