Jackie Ray Turner, age 72, of Elkmont died October 28, 2025 at his residence. He was born on August 12, 1953 to WIllie Turner and Mamie Rogers Turner in Limestone County. He retired from the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Decatur and was a lover of antique cars, especially GTO’s, rabbit hunting, baseball, his grandchildren and great-grandchild. Mr. Turner was a Christian.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 30th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, October 31st at 1:00 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home officiated by Cody Kennedy and Lee Hodges with interment following at Antioch Cemetery in Elkmont. Pallbearers will be Cody Kennedy, Lee Hodges, Steve Turner, Stanley Turner, Joey Jackson, and Nobie Daly. Honorary pallbearers will be Monroe Kennedy, Thomas Staggs, and Wayne Terry.
Mr. Turner is survived by his wife, Pauline Turner, of Elkmont, daughter, Paula (Ray) Kennedy of Elkmont,  grandchildren, Cody (Makayla) Kennedy of Elkmont, Savannah (Lee) Hodges of Athens, great-grandson, Monroe Kennedy, brothers, Steve Turner of Elkmont, Stanley Turner of Elkmont, Rick Turner of Pulaski, Tennessee, sisters, Jean Scroggins of Athens, Janie Rozell of Ardmore, Alabama, Margie Clinard of Ardmore, Alabama as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mamie Turner, brothers, James Turner, Sterl Turner, and Donnie Turner, sisters, Mary Perry, and Jo Eckstein.
