J. R. Quillen, age 75, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Life Care Center of Columbia in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, salesman for Vulco Rubber, and of the Christian Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James (Jim) Allen and Bertha Lou “Dyer” Quillen; his wife, Betty Story Quillen; one brother, Lee Allen Quillen; and one sister, Martha Jane Quillen McDonald.

He was also survived by children and grandchildren of his late wife Betty Story Quillen.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 27, 2013, with Darrell Maggard officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Cemetery in West Point, TN.
