Mr. J. C. (W4JYD) Medley Jr., age 75, passed away Friday February 18, 2022 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. J. C. was born, in Pikeville, TN, on December 24, 1946 to the late J. C. and Ella Mae Prater Medley. He grew up in the Brockdell Community, was a pipe fitter by trade and was of the Baptist faith. J. C. was an avid amateur radio operator, his call sign is W4JYD.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; Randall and Troy Medley, and sister; Patricia Medley.
J. C. is survived by his loving family, sons; Jason Medley of Columbia, TN and Joshua Cody Medley of Lawrenceburg, TN, daughter; Angela Dawn Medley of Lawrenceburg, TN, step-sons; Christopher Sullivan, Mark Sullivan and Jeff Sullivan, brother; Clint (Angie) Medley of Lawrenceburg, TN, grandchildren; Madison Medley, Brylee Medley, Brittany Kincade, Destiny Williams, Nikki Sexton and Titan Sexton, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family also survive.
Funeral services will be Wednesday February 23, 2022 at 2:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Danny Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Hitchcox Cemetery. Visitation times are Tuesday 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Wednesday 12:00pm till time of service at 2:00pm.
