Irma "Louise" Sumners Irma “Louise” Sumners, age 79, of Albertville, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024, at Shepherd’s Cove. Louise was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith touched many lives.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Louise’s life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home in Albertville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at Adams Brown.
Louise is survived by her loving daughter, Lee Ann (Barry) Harbin, and her devoted son, David (Michelle) Sumners. She was a proud grandmother to Anthony (Brittany) Harbin, Aimee (Nathan) Scott, Heaven (Blake) Patterson, Hanna (Bailey) Brogdon, and Dylan Spivey. She cherished her great-grandchildren, Haley Scott, Nevaeh Patterson, Levi Patterson, and Laiyah Brogdon. Louise is also survived by her brothers and sisters, James C. (Wanda) Justice, Tommy (Robbie) Justice, and Shirley (Art) Oswalt, as well as her sister-in-law, Judy Justice.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. J. H. and Irma Justice; brother, Jimmy Justice; and beloved husband, Billy Sumners.
Louise was a dedicated member of The Fellowship Church for thirty years, where her faith and commitment to her community were evident to all who knew her. Her life was a testament to her love for God and her family.
The family will gratefully accept flowers at the funeral home. The services will be officiated by Allen Atkins and Rev. Greg Lee.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Shepherd’s Cove, Branchwater Village, Boaz Fire Department, and Huntsville Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Louise during her time with them.
Louise’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
