Iris Elizabeth Victora Green Iris Elizabeth Victora Green, age 87 of Huntsville, AL passed away Monday , October 4, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born May 3, 1934 in Athens, TN to the late Delmas Delmer Schultz and Iris Neil Miller Schultz. Iris and her beloved husband, James, met in 1949 at a youth event in Huntland. They married in 1952 after James came home from the Air Force. Iris played piano at Huntland First Baptist Church in her younger years and was a member of Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She retired from Franklin County Hospital in 1992 where she had worked for 18 years as an accountant. During retirement, Iris loved to travel and had visited all of the states except for Alaska and Hawaii. This wonderful lady will be remembered as a loving and devoted grandmother who enjoyed sewing, cooking, had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. In addition to her parents, Iris was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Green and siblings, Donald Schultz and Joan Hessey. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, James Green of Huntsville; son, John (Heather) Green of Huntsville; grandchildren, Garrett Green and Hannah Green; siblings, Davis (Betty Ray) Schultz of Winchester, Rita Schibi of Marietta, GA, Joy Donaldson of Huntland, Shelia (Roy) Arnold of Brentwood and Mona (Jerry) Presley of Loudon; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday, October 8, 2021 in Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Dr. Michael Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Huntland. Family requests that masks be worn during visitation and the funeral service.
