FLORENCE-It’s getting close to July 4th – almost Inde-PAW-dence Day! After a brief break, Chloe’s Fund volunteer bakers are refreshed and creating their various delicious treats for the CHLOE’S FUND INDE-PAW-DENCE DAY BAKE SALE! You don’t need to spend time in the kitchen –our bakers will have plenty of sweet treats for you and your party guests to choose from. The Bake Sale is Saturday, July 4th 10am to 12 Noon at the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services Building, 3240 Roberson Rd, Florence, AL. 100% of the money raised from the Bake Sale goes directly into Chloe’s Fund.
We’ll have cakes, cookies, breads, cupcakes, pies and 4th of July themed goodies; all available for you, friends, family and your furbaby. Our bakers are well-known for their (in demand) freshly made specialty items and it’s best to preorder their confections. The Inde-PAW-dence Day Bake Sale menu will be on the following Facebook pages as of June 22; Chloe’s Fund for Medical Needs of Florence Shelter Animals and Florence Lauderdale Animal Services. You can place your order as of June 22 by texting our new Bake Sale Co-coordinator, Susan Simmons at 978-335-6294 (she’s local). The deadline to preorder the baked goods is Tuesday, June 30 at 3pm. You can pick up your order on Saturday, July 4th from 10am-12 Noon at Florence Lauderdale Animal Services, 3240 Roberson Rd, Florence. In addition to the pre-ordered menu items, there are always extra goodies the bakers were inspired to make available on sale day!
Chloe’s Fund was started in March of 2017 after shelter volunteers, Glen and Debby Nelson lost Chloe, their beloved 16 year old dog. After Chloe’s passing, the Nelsons and their friends set out on a mission to help as many sick and injured Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services’ animals as possible. Since its inception, Chloe’s Fund vetted and saved the lives of hundreds of animals suffering from various injuries, illnesses and in need of medical attention.
