Mrs. Ida Bob Gibbs, 87 of Allen’s Cross Road’s, died Tuesday May 23, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mrs. Gibbs was born May 29, 1929 in Marshall County to Sam S. Barclift and Ethel Couch Barclift. She was a 1947 graduate of Arab High School. She was a home maker; her husband E. L. Gibbs Jr. preceded her in death in 2015.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church #2.
Mrs. Gibbs is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Patsy Gibbs, Bobbie Long and Ron Streible, Amanda Maze and Danny and Gina Walley and Jim; five grandchildren and spouses: Beth Streible, Danielle Maze Groves and Eric, Sam Maze and Candice, Louis Walley and Anna Walley; a great grandchild: Mason Groves; three sisters: Jo Dunn, Martha Sam Black and Jane Smith and daughters of her heart: Amanda Dagani, Susan Sutton and Brittany Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband: E.L. Gibbs, Jr., her parents: Sam S. and Ethel Couch Barclift; sisters: Sarah Virginia Bagwell and Lottie Ethel Barclift.
Pallbearers will be Sam Maze, Eric Groves, Louis Walley, Gary Smith, Stok Black, Mark Black, Doc Smith and Jackie Bright.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday May 26, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Brian Mosley and Sam Maze, officiating. Burial will be in Mtn View Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday May 25, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
