MADISON COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident in Madison County that has taken the life of one person and sent another to hospital:
“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:29 p.m. Monday, December 2, has claimed the life of a Huntsville woman.
Brenda A. Rivera, 33, was critically injured when the 2024 Toyota Corolla that she was driving collided head-on with a 2018 International 4300 box truck driven by Dionne E. Bishop, 53, of Huntsville. Rivera was being transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment where she later succumbed to her injuries while being transported. Bishop was also injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Old Railroad Bed Road near Northwest Rock Creek Boulevard, approximately three miles northwest of Madison, in Madison County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
