Mr. Huey Sanders, age 88 of Lynn’s Park (Cordova) went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 4, 2022 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Sardis Cemetery on the River Road. Harold Donald will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Preceding him in death were his son, David Sander; parents, O.W. and Effie Sanders; sisters, Audrey Myers and Rachel Vines; brothers, Winford, Mabourn, Ruel, Osburn and Cecil Sanders; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Melvin and Ida Lively.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jo Helen Sanders; son, Tommy Wayne Sanders (Patricia of Pineywoods); grandchildren, Timothy Sanders, Briana Sanders, and Jordan Sanders, all of Cordova, and Heather Stephen (Evan) of Hattiesburg, MS; great grandchildren, John Sanders, Isabella Sanders, Noah Sanders, Jaxon Sanders, and Natalaya McDonald; and a host of other relatives and friends.
