Hoyet Lee Parker, 90, Greenhill, passed away April 2, 2016, at El Reposo Nursing Facility. He was retired from Reynolds, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of North Carolina Church of Christ, the Racking Horse Breeders Association and Labor Local 366.
Survivors include sons, Randall Parker and wife, Joan, Ricky Parker and wife, Gina; brothers, Billy Ray Parker, Jimmy Parker; sister, Dianne Rich; grandchildren, Jason Parker (Sue Ann), Heather Parker, Bradley Parker (Lynsie), Ryne Parker (April); great-grandchildren, Koryn Golliver, Marina Bretherick (Jason), Destiny Golliver, Jadyn, Jesse, Bella and Levi Parker; great-great-grandchild, Emberli Bretherick.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearline Davis Parker; parents, Collins Parker and Pearl Wimberly Parker; brothers, Jesse Parker and Jack Parker; sisters, Idell Walker, Catherine Peden, Betty Richardson and Mary Nell Cantrell.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, from 6-8 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Don Williams officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Parker, Bradley Parker, Ryne Parker, and CAssidy Butler, Honorary pallbearer will be Arvolle Brown.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of El Reposo for the care given to Mr. Parker.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
