Howard Sherrill Hyatt, 90 of Arab Alabama died Sunday January 1, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Hyatt was born August 30, 1926 in Marshall County to William Erb Hyatt and Willie Mae Seals Hyatt. His wife Audrey L. Beal Hyatt preceded him in death in 1998. Mr. Hyatt served in the U.S. Navy; he also worked for Chrysler as an inspector in Detroit Michigan until his retirement. He moved to Arab in 1984. He was a member of the V.F.W., enjoyed dancing and working in his work shop.
He is survived by a special friend: Leslie Fluhardy; his sister: Dot Ellenburg; his nephew: Danny G. and ShaRee Ellenburg; great nephews: Brady Ellenburg and Jacob Ellenburg; cousin: Glenis Seals and several other cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife: Audrey L. Beal Hyatt and his parents William Erb and Willie Mae Hyatt.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 4, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, with Brother: Buddy Strickland, officiating. Burial will be in Gilliam Springs Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be members of the Local National Guard.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday January 3, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
