Howard “Hank” Wilson Staggs, 80, of Leighton, passed away February 11, 2024. Visitation will be Friday at Williams Funeral Home from 10:00 – 11:00 am. The service will start at 11:00 am and immediately following entombment in Shoals Memorial Gardens.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Etta Mae Staggs; brother, Claude Staggs, Jr.; grandson, Ethan Staggs; and sister-in-law, Marquitta Staggs.
Hank is survived by his son, Hank Staggs (Summer); daughter, Spring Willingham (Scott); brothers, Lloyd Staggs and Lynn Staggs; sisters, Judy Hallmark and Betty Gist; and best friend, Melvin Castle.
Hank was a skilled autobody expert and a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge in Leighton. He had a passion for working on cars. He was a proud Auburn fan and loved watching college sports. Outside of his hobbies, Hank found joy in caring for his chickens, which he considered his pride and joy. He was also known as a talented pool player, a true pool shark. Hank was a respected Airforce veteran, and his loved ones will miss him greatly.
