THE SHOALS – Last Friday, ABC Enforcement agents and Florence police made a raid on a house party where there was allegedly underage consumption of alcohol. 15 persons, including the 3 adults who police say threw the party were arrested.

Tomorrow, Saturday, July 21, The Quad-Cities Daily will publish the booking photos of those who were arrested.

Police sources have told The Quad-Cities Daily that underage drinking at private parties in on the increase, and that they have dramatically stepped up their enforcement efforts. Individuals who are 18 or older, but not yet 21 years of age, are booked under the same procedures as adults, with finger printing and mug shots as part of the process.

Indeed, there is another report of yet another bust at a keg party in Sheffield where allegedly underage drinkers were also arrested. If Sheffield P.D. releases the photos, we will also publish them.

ED – It is our hope that publishing these photos will help provide a deterrence to underage drinking, a major cause of teen automobile accident deaths.
