Horace “Boo” Edward Scott, Jr. age 54 of Cowan, entered into his heavenly home on Friday, May 1, 2026, at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville. He was born on October 15, 1971, in Winchester, to Addie Bell (Tate) Scott and to the late Horace Edward Scott, Sr. Boo was a skilled concrete finisher and over the years he has worked with his uncles and cousins. He was a very spiritual person, who could find peace and solitude amongst nature’s beauty. His ability to make others laugh never went without a story or trying to sing the current song on the radio. The quality time spent with his grandchildren he treasured the most. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Natasha Blair; and brothers, Johnny Scott and Chris Blair. Boo is survived by his wife, Shatina (Hill) Scott; children, Horace E. Scott III, Emily Scott, Latina (Jay) Tucker and Mario Perkins; mother, Addie (Tate) Scott; grandchildren, Chamila, Ameriana, Ry, Maddox, and Marius; siblings, Jean Scott Hernandez, Dorothy Staten, John (Cherelle) Scott, and James Blair; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
