Homer Cecil James – Obituary

Homer Cecil James, 87, of Russellville passed away Feb. 18, 2015, at his residence.

He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Duncan Creek Baptist Church. He was retired from Reynolds Metal Company and was a veteran.

The funeral will be Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, 2 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, with Waymon Fike and Danny Russell officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon until 2 p.m.

Survivors include Gerald James (Marie), Barbara Fike (Waymon), Judy McDougle and friend, Jeff Presley, Ricky James, all of Russellville; grandchildren, Brent Fike (Judi), Eric Fike (Meghan), Casey James, Greg James, Jennifer Boutwell, and Hollie McDougle; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brent Fike, Eric Fike, Casey James, Greg James, John Fike, and Jeff Presley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Grace James, parents, Will and Willie James, son, Larry Wilson James, granddaughter, Jenice Wilson, brothers, Walter, Lester, Zollie, Curtis, Eston, and Oneal, and sisters, Irene Mistakovich and Inez King.

The family would like to give thanks to Southern Care Hospice and Betty Jackson for the care they gave to our loved one.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to Duncan Creek Cemetery fund.
