Hobie Blake Kemp, 36, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Tupelo, MS, to Jeffery Greene Kemp and Pamela Marlar. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a maintenance worker, but in his free time, he enjoyed playing pool and umpiring.
Funeral service will be Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS, with Bro. Mark Daily officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS, will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Summer Wilemon; four children, Ellie Kemp, Asher Kemp, Brantley and Mason Wilemon; four siblings, Katelyn Kemp, Kelsey Kemp Mills, Jenny Ann Stephens and Jonathan Williams; two aunts, Becky Kemp Massey (Terry) and Kim Kessinger; two uncles, Mike Kemp (Mary Jo) and Paul Thorn; nieces and nephew, Phinley and Kollier McDowell and Leo Mills; father and mother-in-law, Don and Kim Wilson; brother-in-law, Eric Wilson (Heather); and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one aunt, Margaret Thorn; uncle, Stacy Roberts; grandparents, Bobby Joe and Lydia Kemp, and Bill and Joann Marlar; and one sister, Miriam Leeann Kemp.
Pallbearers will be Jason Slayton, Ryan Slayton, Michael Mauldin, Kylei Estes, Kohlyee Estes and Michael Kemp.
Honorary pallbearer will be Brantley Wilemon.
