Hillard Franklin Blankenship – Obituary

Funeral for Hillard Franklin Blankenship, 75, of Moulton will be today, March 27, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with Stanley Johnson, Darrell Thompson and Andy Hutto officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Blankenship, who died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at his residence, was born February 15, 1940, in Lawrence County to Ausie Blankenship and Susie Jarrett Blankenship. He retired as a press operator for Wolverine and was a member of Hillsboro Heights Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Willard Blankenship; one sister, Lorene Colburn; and brothers-in-law, A.J. Colburn and Tedd Potter.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Faye Johnson Blankenship; two sons, Jeffrey Blankenship (Beth) and Jay Blankenship (Jessica), both of Moulton; two brothers, Leon Blankenship(Jackie) of Hartselle and Dan Blankenship (Brenda) of Russellville; three sisters, Beatrice Potter (Edison) of Russellville, Jean Potter of Phil Campbell and Faye Carey (Raymon) of Haleyville; sister-in-law, L.G. Blankenship of Russellville; and eight grandchildren, Ty Blankenship, Trent Morris, Hayden Blankenship, Jessica Frost (Hunter), Kade White, Jace Hale, Jazlyn Hale and Jaidah Hale, all of Moulton.
Pallbearers will be Stevie Potter, Barry Colburn, Chad Terry, Jamie Way, Shannon Sandlin, Ty Blankenship, Hayden Blankenship, Trent Morris and Hunter Frost.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice of the Valley for the Love and Care shown to Hillard during his illness and the love shown to the family.
