Dennis George “Wop” Godbout, age 72, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life at the VFW Post 4190 in Decatur for family and friends following the service from 3 until 5 p.m.
Mr. Godbout was born April 4, 1942, to George and Kathryn Godbout. He retired from the aluminum industry and was an active member of VFW Post 4190. His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Martha Godbout; son, Tony Davis; daughters, Sandy Guyse and Michelle Walden (Gary); sister, Jackie Canale (Jack); 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
