Herman “Tunk” Holman, 79 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Friday, February 7, 2014, at his home.
Born Sunday, August 12, 1934 in Ardmore, Alabama, he was the son of the late Charlie Holman and the late Azzie Jones Holman. He was a member of Ardmore First Baptist Church and he liked hobby farming and visiting with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Readus “Gene” Holman, Raymond “Dine” Holman, Dick Holman, Haney Holman, and Joe Holman, and sister: Maggalou Holman.
Surviving are his wife: Shirley Maze Holman of Ardmore, AL, son: Herman Wallace, Danville, AL, daughters, Loretta (Jason) Stinnett of Madison, AL and Frances (Kris) Scheuermann of Huntsville, AL, and Mary Osborne of Danville, AL, brother, Billy Holman of Toledo, OH, sister, Faye Shipman of Ardmore, AL, sister-in-law: Mildred Holman of Boaz, AL, and two grandchildren: David Wright and Frederick Scheuermann.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 10, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Alan Hughes and Bro. Chris Bolt officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
