Herbert Sims, 85 of Arab, Alabama died Monday October 3, 2016 at Floyd E “Tut Vann” State Veterans Home in Huntsville, Alabama.
Mr. Sims was born February 19,1931 in East Bernsteadt, Kentucky to John and Francis Sims. He
worked in the music industry as a promoter. Mr. Sims served in the U.S. Marines Corp in WWII.
He was a member of Truth Church.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Alpha Sims; a son: Randi Sims; daughters: Sherri Collins, Darlee Smith, Frances “Fern” Murdock and Renee Dale; and a brother Russell Sims.
The family elected cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements.
