Henry Robert Myles was born July 6, 1948, in Friars Point, MS to the late Eugene Pryor and Elizabeth Myles and raised in Ann Harbor, MI. He departed this life on October 10, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital. He was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Pryor, Rose Pryor, Connie Pryor, Shirley Prior, Flora Sisak, Annette Jennings, and brother Shelley Austin.
Henry was a member of Deliverance Outreach Worship Center under Bishop Aaron Jones. There he founded the DOWC Male Chorus and continued to be a faithful member until his health failed. He never gave up his faith and trust in the Almighty.
Henry retired from Chrysler Corporation after 30+ years of service. He was a dedicated member of the Electric Cruisers Van Club and loved to sing and travel. He had a big heart and was always thoughtful towards the people in his life. He loved to spend time with his family but the love and dedication that he had for his grandchildren was unmatched.
Henry leaves to cherish his precious memories: a devoted wife: Veronica Myles; two sons: Delano Curry, Sr., and Andre Myles; two daughters: Deirdre Myles and Chebree (Clarence) Adams; nine grandchildren Delano Curry, Jr., Deraunte Turner, Deondre Turner, Briana Gosberry, Anthony Gosberry, Carlito Myles, Marquis Myles, Xavier Myles, and Zavion Myles; three brothers: Jimmy (Sherry) Bush, Purcell Pryor and Eugene Pryor; four sisters: Mary L. Butler (Adolph), Sharon Martin (Solomon), Patricia Davis, and Shawana Anderson; five great grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Deliverance Outreach Worship Center (3412 Mastin Lake Rd NW, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Bishop Aaron Jones officiating. Mr. Myles will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2023, and 8:30 until 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Royal Funeral Home.
