Henry CorneliusHenry Burton Cornelius, age 77, Phil Campbell, AL. passed away Tuesday January 16, 2024.

Some may know him as “Budgie, or Pudgy”. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. In his younger years, he traveled all over the South building bridges and working as a carpenter. When he returned home, he met his wife and started a cattle farm that he enjoyed until his last days. He loved for his grandchildren to visit, he taught them how to hunt, fish, and skip rocks in the pond. He was a teacher of many life lessons to his daughter and grands. He enjoyed cooking and feeding his family and friends in his cabin. He loved seafood, and would often travel to the gulf to purchase it fresh. In the evenings, you’d always find him sitting on his porch watching deer and his cows. He was a simple man and lived a simple life on his farm. He had a smile that was contagious, and he was guaranteed to make you laugh.

A time with the Family receiving Friends will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024 from 12:00NOON – 2:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home inn Haleyville, AL.
