Henry Allen CountsHenry Allen Counts, age 86, of Mt. Hope, passed away on Saturday, January 04, 2025, after an extended illness.
Allen was a member of Old Town Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed his time at the sale barn, working, selling, and buying cattle and was a cattle farmer his whole life. He loved being outside, with the cows and mowing his grass. Allen loved his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. His favorite times were the Sunday dinners spent with his family and enjoying the wonderful desserts. His family will cherish the many memories they share with him.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Craig Counts; parents, Richard Clay & Mattie Louise (Stanley) Counts; and brothers, Joe Charles Counts (wife, Irene), Stanley Counts, and infant brother.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 65 years, Willadean Welborn Counts; children, Thomas Counts (Leigh Ann), Mary Kimbrough (Larry), Harriet Inman (Anthony); grandchildren, Katy Counts McDonald (Cody), Bartlett Kimbrough (Emma), Elizabeth Kimbrough, Will Inman (Monica), Ryan Inman (Anna-Margaret); great-grandchildren, Adalyn McDonald, Lacey McDonald, Landers Anne Kimbrough, Benjamin Kimbrough, Ollie Kate Kimbrough, Jenna Johnson, Taylor Johnson; Jackson Inman; and several nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Monday, January 06, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 07, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Tim Keenum and Bro. Ben Phillips officiating the service. The burial will be at Mt. Hope Methodist Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Bartlett Kimbrough, Will Inman, Ryan Inman, Cody McDonald, Darren Welborn, Mark Welborn, and Gary Welborn.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Megan, Paige, Carolyn, Carla, Mr. Davis and the rest of the staff of Aveanna Hospice for your love and care towards our family.
