Funeral service for Helen Hill, age 85, of Moulton, will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, at Moulton Baptist Church with Bro. Jesse Reeder officiating. Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.
Helen Hill, who passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Decatur-Morgan Hospital, was born April 28, 1929, in Lawrence County, to Elmer Posey and Lillian Ray Posey. Her church of choice was Moulton Baptist Church and she was a homemaker. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Carroll Hill; daughter, Linda Carol Hill; great-grandson, Julian Hawk Quirk; brothers, Clyde and Leon Posey; and sisters, Edna Crutchfield, Edith Crutchfield and Evelyn Matthews.
Survivors include sons, Mike Hill (Becky) and Steven Hill (Mary); daughter, Kathy White (Jeff); grandchildren, Christy Chambers, James Chambers, Lyle Hill, Shelley McAfee and Amanda Lee; great-grandchildren, Bayleigh and Candice Chambers, Autumn Chambers, Landon McAfee and Lauren and Jonathan Lee; and a brother, Carl Posey.
Pallbearers will be James Chambers, Lyle Hill, Landon McAfee, Roger Dutton, Alan Matthews and Michael Matthews.
Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
